I for the most part am loving the rainbow 🌈 cake yarn 🧶. The store was welcoming and assisted me in finding the yarn and pattern that I needed for the sample I saw in the store. I only have two things I found annoying about the yarn. It is a twisted yarn that will fray, so I have to pay attention that all the strings in the yarn comes through each loop. The color change from (in my case) white to each rainbow color is okay. It appears that they glue/swen each joint to transition from color to color and for the most part it’s okay and it does work better than a knot. I don’t love it but I don’t hate it either, it is very much a personal preference. Overall, I love the yarn. The cotton is soft and light, the colors are deeply pigmented and beautiful. The pattern I’m using is the Queensland Collection for Rainbow Cake Eleanor using two cakes for the 1X size. I have not finished the project, so that is not part of my review. I’m excited to wear this next summer!
